How do I verify my Driver's Licence in Australia?

How to verify your drivers licence

Updated over 6 months ago

If you're looking to work in a role with any driving duties in Australia, you will need to verify your driver's licence on your profile for safety and compliance reasons.

You can verify your licence by uploading a certificate onto your Sidekicker profile.

How do I verify my Drivers Licence

  1. Click here to go onto Certificates on your profile

  2. Scroll down to 'Optional certificates' and click ‘Licence Verification - Car’

  3. Upload a proof of your licence (either a photo of your physical licence, or a screenshot of your digital licence).

Proof of your up-to-date drivers licence can either be a photo of your physical licence, or a screenshot of your digital licence. The important information that your licence needs to show is:

  • Full name

  • State

  • Photo

  • Date of expiry

  • Licence type

Digital Victorian driver licences roll out in May 2024 | COTA Victoria

Please note your document will be uploaded as 'Pending' whilst our support team goes through to verify your document and approve it.

Your licence information will be kept safe between you and Sidekicker. The host businesses will only be able to see that you have a valid drivers' licence.

What if I have an International Licence?

If you hold a licence from another country, you may still be eligible to drive in Australia. Please check your eligibility in the state you are located in.

To verify your international licence, upload a photo of your licence onto the ‘Licence Verification - Car’ certificate on your profile.
