After every shift, you'll have the opportunity to rate your experience working with the business. Your feedback helps Sidekicker understand what's working well, identify areas for improvement, and support a safe, positive experience for everyone using the platform.
Please note: This feature is currently being rolled out gradually, so it may not yet be available to all Sidekicks.
What happens when I leave a star rating?
After you submit your timesheet, you may be asked to rate your experience with the business by selecting a star rating from 1 to 5.
Depending on the rating you choose, you'll also be able to select one or more feedback options that best describe your experience.
If you leave a 4 or 5-star rating
You'll be able to choose from positive feedback options such as:
Safe work environment
Well organised
Clear instructions
Professionally managed
Great team
If you leave a 3-star rating or below
You'll be able to choose from feedback options including:
Nothing to report
Not enjoyable
Change in hours
Role/task mismatch
Unclear instructions
Inappropriate behaviour
Safety concern
This structured feedback helps our team identify trends and follow up where needed.
Reporting safety concerns
If you select Inappropriate behaviour or Safety concern, you'll be prompted to submit an incident report.
You'll be taken to Sidekicker's incident reporting form and will also receive an email with a link to complete it later if needed.
Whether or not you submit an incident report, your safety-related feedback is reviewed by the Sidekicker team so we can investigate where appropriate.
Confirming your onsite induction
You may also be asked to confirm whether you received an onsite induction.
This question is only shown the first time you work at a specific site. If you return to the same site in the future, you won't be asked again. If you work for the same business at a different site, you'll be asked to confirm your induction for that new location.
The induction confirmation is selected by default. If you did not receive an induction/instruction/orientation/briefing, simply untick the checkbox before submitting your feedback.
What if I have questions about a negative review I received?
To encourage honest feedback, businesses and Sidekicks can only see each other's star rating. Any feedback options selected as part of the rating are not shared between businesses and Sidekicks.
If you have received a low star rating or poor feedback from a business and you are unsure why, we recommend reviewing this article for information on the most common reasons why this happens.
We understand that receiving a low rating can be disappointing. If you're unhappy with the outcome, we ask that you keep all communication with the business professional and don't contact the client directly to discuss the rating. If you have any questions or concerns, our Support team is always happy to help and will do their best to assist.
Can Sidekicker make changes to star ratings or feedback?
In order to promote trust and transparency in our community, Sidekicker is unable to delete or update any star ratings or feedback received by businesses and Sidekicks.
However, we do reserve the right to delete reviews if they;
use profanity or vulgar language, or
promote illegal or harmful behaviours, or
include content that is discriminatory, threatening or obscene.
