How to submit a medical clearance during onboarding

Why does Sidekicker need a medical clearance?

As part of our OH&S Form we ask you to disclose if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, or injuries. We ask this to ensure your wellbeing at work, as some conditions or injuries may impact your ability to safely complete certain jobs on the Sidekicker platform

In the event that something you disclose is a cause for concern, we'll ask that you provide a clearance from your doctor in the form of a medical certificate.

What details do I need on my medical certificate?

This certificate needs to include:

Your full name
Your doctor's details (name, practitioner number, clinic details)
The date of the consult

As well as this it should include a statement indicating that you’re fit and able to complete the key tasks expected in your chosen category of work.

Warehousing, Manual Labour or Horticulture

Able to safely complete a 20kg lift
Have full mobility, with the ability to reach above your head and crouch down
Work on your feet for long periods of time
Work in dusty, hazardous environments
Clearly read all instructions that may be put up around the workplace
Clearly hear when a forklift, or other heavy machinery, is approaching

Hospitality (Front and Back of House), Events and Retail

Have full mobility, with the ability to reach above your head and crouch down
Work on your feet for long periods of time
Clearly read all instructions that may be put up around the workplace
Clearly hear all instructions that may be said to you in a loud environment

Healthcare

Have full mobility, with the ability to reach above your head and crouch down
Be able to safely administer CPR
Work on your feet for long periods of time
Clearly read all instructions that may be put up around the workplace
Clearly hear all instructions that may be said to you in a loud environment

What do I do once I've got my medical certificate?

Once you’ve received your clearance you can upload the document by clicking here. We’ll then review it and, assuming everything is okay, upload the certificate to your account.

Do I have to submit a medical certificate?

If your Sidekicker account is already active, the decision not to supply a medical certificate won't impact your ability to continue viewing current work categories - only new ones.

Similarly if you're signing up for the first time and decide not to pursue your chosen category of work, there may be an opportunity to register for something else. Contact our Support team for more information.
