An opportunity is a chance to access exclusive jobs with a client in the future. Opportunities will appear on your Open jobs dashboard the same as usual shifts. However you can differentiate between the two as a shift will provide you with estimated earnings whereas an opportunity will not.

When you click on an opportunity, you'll be able to see more details about the potential role. This will include a start date, estimated duration, a pay rate and the general location.

How can I apply for an opportunity?

You can apply for an opportunity or pass on it. If you apply for an opportunity, you'll be asked additional questions about your availability and experience.

Clients will review your answers and make a decision whether to hire you in future, so it's important to make sure you treat this like a job application and highlight your relevant experience and skills.

How will I know if I've been successful?

You'll receive an email to let you know the outcome of your application. The timeframe for a client to select applicants can vary so please be patient if you see the opportunity in the 'open' section of the app and haven't heard back yet.

If you have been successful, this means the client has added you to their exclusive talent pool and can post shifts to you directly. Keep a look out on your app as you'll start to see exclusive shifts posted by the client.

I received an email saying that my application was successful. Am I guaranteed work?

While the majority of opportunities will turn into jobs on your Sidekicker app, work is not guaranteed. Like all jobs, requirements can change and the opportunity may not eventuate into a job. Don't be too disappointed, you'll see more opportunities posted on your Sidekicker app.

I can't see opportunities anymore:

This means one of two things:

  1. That you were successful in your application - congratulations!  Keep a look out on your app as you'll start to see exclusive shifts posted by the client soon.

  2. That you were unsuccessful - In this case the opportunity will disappear from your applied tab. You should be notified by an email message letting you know this.

Can I remove my application?

You can withdraw your application at any point - you can do this by clicking the 'Remove application' button on the opportunity page.
