When should I submit my timesheet?

Once you have finished your set shift, or completed your last shift on an ongoing job, you should submit your timesheet within 24 hours. This is to ensure the client has enough time to review and approve your hours before we process payment.

For more information on when you will be paid, check out this article.

How do I complete my timesheet?

When you are ready to submit your hours, make sure you are logged in to the Sidekicker app or desktop site. Select the 'Active' shifts tab, then locate the shift you have just completed, and press the green 'Complete Job' button as shown below:

Set-shift (single shift)

To submit your hours for a set shift, simply input the start and end times you worked, as well as any breaks you took. The timesheet will automatically input the hours for the original job time, however, it is important you update this to reflect your actual hours worked.

If for any reason the client requested that you start earlier, or finish later than expected, you will be required to fill out some additional information. If you cannot remember the person's name, be sure to include any other information you think would help to ensure the client can verify your hours.

Ongoing (multiple shifts, fixed-term)

To submit your hours for an ongoing job, you can input your timesheet day by day, or all at once at the end of the week if you wish. If you did not work a certain day in that time period, simply select 'Didn't work' from the drop-down menu. You won't be able to input hours for the following days until each line is completed in order.

NOTE: If you decide to input your hours as you go, ensure you click on 'Save & Close' at the bottom of the timesheet after each time. This means you will be able to continue updating the timesheet in the following days. Only press 'Submit Timesheet' at the completion of all the shifts for that week or time period. This will send your timesheet to the client for review.

If you hit 'Submit Timesheet' too soon and still have more hours to input, give us a shout via the blue chat bubble on the Sidekicker app and we will fix that up for you!

What if I had an expense, or was promised a bonus?

If the job entitles you to reimbursements or includes a bonus, you will have the option to input the amount at the bottom of the timesheet. Be sure to only include these if this has been previously approved, or outlined in the job description.

NOTE: Bonuses are considered ordinary earnings, meaning they are subject to tax.

Can I leave a review for the client?

Definitely! We always appreciate any feedback, so be sure to let us know how your shift went. You will be given the option to rate the client out of 5 stars, and also leave a review. The review is used for internal purposes only, and will not be visible to the client.

I have submitted my timesheet, now what?

Once you submit your timesheet, it will be sent to the business for review. The job will move from the 'Active' tab to the 'Awaiting Review' tab of your profile.

Generally, these are approved by the client within a few hours. As long as you have submitted your timesheet, you will be paid for your shift in the relevant pay period.. Once the client has approved your hours, the job will then move to the 'Completed' tab πŸŽ‰
