Depending on the job, it can take anywhere from minutes to a couple of days to hear whether you have been selected to work a shift.
Businesses are encouraged to select their workers as soon as possible, but sometimes it can take a little while for them to find the right Sidekick for their job - especially if a longer commitment or specific experience is required.
However, once a job has received enough applications to fill, a business has 72 hours (or until the start time of the job, if the job is less than 72 hours away) to select their Sidekicks.
What if my plans have changed and I can no longer work a shift I applied for?
If you have applied for a shift but have not heard back, and your availability changes, please be sure to withdraw your application on Sidekicker. You can do this by clicking into the job in the 'Applied' section of your dashboard, then clicking on the green 'Withdraw' button.
There is no penalty for withdrawing from shifts before being selected. However, once you are hired to work a shift, your reliability score could be affected if you decide to withdraw.
