How to upload your Right to Work certificate

Updated over 6 months ago

The Right to Work documentation is used to verify your working rights in Australia, and is a mandatory and the most important certificate to work with Sidekicker.

You will not be able to view any shifts on Sidekicker without a valid and up-to-date right to work certificate.

Documentation accepted to verify your working rights in Australia

Australian citizens:

Non-Australian citizens:

  • New Zealand Passport

  • VEVO check for any valid visa with working rights in Australia (including all Bridging visas)

How do I upload my Right to Work certificate onto my profile?

Make sure you first obtain one of the above certificates to verify your working rights in Australia. Once you have it, uploading it to your profile is super easy! Follow these steps:

  1. Log into Sidekicker and navigate to ‘Certificates’

  2. Click on the certificate called 'Right to Work'

  3. Upload your document as a PDF or image showing us full details of the certificate

Please note your document will be uploaded as 'Pending' whilst our support team goes through to verify your document and approve it.

I'm having trouble uploading my certificate

If you're having trouble uploading your certificate onto your profile, you can alternatively request our help by reaching out via the blue chat bubble on Sidekicker. On the chat, choose the option "I need to make an update to my profile/account" and "Upload a certificate".

By sending us the certificate via the chat, our Support Team can upload it on your behalf.

What if I'm on a Bridging Visa?

If you are on a Bridging Visa, you can verify your working rights by completing a VEVO check.

However, please note the VEVO check for Bridging Visas is only valid for 3-months at the time, so you are required to re-complete the VEVO check every 3-months to continue seeing shifts on the platform.

Important: As an employee of Sidekicker, you are responsible for notifying us if there are any changes to your visa conditions and ensuring you do not apply or complete shifts that fall outside your work restrictions.
