Transitioning to the Sidekicker App for Job Applications & Timesheets

As part of our effort to improve the worker experience and streamline our technology, job access and timesheet submission will soon be removed from the Sidekicker desktop site. All Sidekicks will need to use the Sidekicker mobile app going forward.

🧠 Why is this change happening?

We’re focusing our engineering efforts on delivering the best possible experience through the Sidekicker app.

By consolidating everything into the app, we can:

  • Resolve bugs and inconsistencies faster

  • Improve security

  • Deliver a more consistent experience for Sidekicks

🕐 What’s the timeline?

There is no fixed shutdown date yet, however, the desktop version will be removed soon. You’ll begin seeing notifications to help you transition smoothly.

🔔 What should I expect?

We're taking a phased approach to communication:

  1. In-app pop-up: A message will appear on the desktop site encouraging you to download and use the Sidekicker app.

  2. Reminder pop-up: A second pop-up will include a countdown to the desktop version shutdown.

  3. Email updates: If you're still using the desktop, we’ll also send you reminders directly.

📲 What do I need to do?

To continue finding jobs and submitting timesheets, you’ll need to:

  1. Download the Sidekicker app on your mobile device.

  2. Log in using your usual account details.

  3. Start browsing, applying, and submitting your timesheets — all in one place!

🧭 What if I don’t have a mobile device?

We understand that not everyone may have immediate access to a smartphone. If this is the case, please reach out to our support team so we can assist with an alternative workflow.
