How Sidekicker verifies working rights
Updated over a week ago

The Right to Work documentation is used to verify Sidekicks can legally work in Australia or New Zealand based on their visa/citizenship status.

How Sidekicker verifies working rights

Sidekicks need to prove their working rights by uploading any of the accepted documentation listed below onto their Sidekicker profile. All documentation will go through a verification by the Sidekicker team before the certificate gets accepted.

Documentation accepted in Australia

Australian citizens:

  • Australian Passport

  • Australian citizenship certificate

  • Australian birth certificate

  • Australian Enrolment to Vote

Non-Australian citizens:

  • New Zealand Passport

  • VEVO check for any valid visa with working rights in Australia

Documentation accepted in New Zealand

  • New Zealand or Australian Passport

  • New Zealand or Australian Birth Certificate

  • New Zealand or Australian Citizenship Certificate

  • New Zealand Visa

What happens for Sidekicks who do not have a Right to Work check

If a Sidekick does not have a Right to Work check uploaded to their account, the Sidekicker platform will automatically prevent Sidekicker from approving the Sidekick’s profile.

If the Sidekick’s Right to Work Check expires, they will be unable to see active shifts until their check is renewed.

Sidekicks with a Bridging Visa will need to provide a new Right to Work check every 3-months to maintain their access to the platform.

What info businesses will see of the Sidekicks' working rights

Due to privacy reasons, Sidekicker does not share the Sidekick Right to Work documentation details with the hiring businesses.

Businesses can rest assured that any Sidekcike who can see your jobs, has been verified and Sidekicker has a hold of their up-to-date Right to Work check at all times.
