We're running a Refer A Friend campaign, with the chance for you both to earn a $100 cash bonus.

What do I need to do to refer a friend?

If you are a current Sidekick you can refer friends using the Sidekicker app:

  • First, click on your photo in the app

  • Then click 'Refer a friend' and 'Share your link'

  • You can share your referral link via text message, email or social media

Note: In order for the referral to be registered your friend must follow your unique link. If they do not you will not be eligible for the referral bonus.

* Promotion excludes shifts in the following industries: Warehousing & Logistics, Manufacturing, Manual labour, Mobility and Business Administration

Promotional Period

19 September 2022 to 30 November 2023 inclusive.

What you need to do (the conditions):

The friend (Referred Person) must complete at least three shifts through the Sidekicker Platform within 30 days of their account being activated.

You (the Referrer) must complete at least three shifts through the Sidekicker Platform within 30 days of your friend registering their account.

These shifts can be from any of the following categories of work:

  • Hospitality & Events

  • Healthcare

  • Promotions

Shifts from the following categories of work are not included:

  • Warehousing

  • Manufacturing

  • Horticulture

  • Manual Labour

  • Business Administration

  • Mobility

When will I (the referred person) know that my account has been activated?

You will receive an email titled ‘Your Sidekicker account has been activated’ from ‘The Sidekicker Team.’

What counts as 'completing a shift'?

To complete a shift, the shift must be worked and signed off by the client through the Sidekicker app.

How much you can earn as part of the Referral Reward:

If the conditions are met, both the Referrer and the Referred Person will receive an NZD $100 lump sum payment. There are no limits on how many times you can refer friends.

How and when you'll be paid:

Referral payments are processed on the last Friday of each calendar month. As a result, the Referrer and Referred Person will receive the Referral Reward as part of the next available pay cycle after that.

Sidekicker may, however, at its sole discretion, make the payment earlier to both or one of you earlier during the Promotional Period.

Detailed Terms and Conditions:

These terms and conditions (the “Program Rules”) govern your participation in Sidekicker’s “Refer-A-Friend” Program, administered by Sidekicker in Australia and New Zealand.

DEFINITIONS:

For the purpose of this Program Rules:

Promotional Period means the promotional period as stated in the Sidekicker Written Communication from 19 September 2022 to 30 November 2023 inclusive.

Referrer means a Sidekick who fulfils the eligibility requirements in Clause 2 and has provided the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code to a Referred Person.

Referred Person means an individual who fulfils the eligibility requirements in Clause 3 and has used the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code provided by the Referrer when registering a Sidekick account using the Sidekicker Platform.

Referral Pairing means the Referrer and Referred Person.

Sidekick means a person who is employed as a casual employee (known commonly as a “Sidekick”) with Sidekicker and has a valid and existing employment contract (casual) with Sidekicker that has not been terminated or expired.

Sidekicker means Lend Me a Hand Pty Ltd t/a Sidekicker ACN 154 916 917 and Sidekicker New Zealand Limited NZBN 9429041516492

Sidekicker Platform means any system, website or platform provided by Sidekicker (including the Sidekicker Sites) to facilitate the engagement of Sidekicks, and includes any other sites and services owned or controlled by Sidekicker.

Sidekicker Sites means the websites at www.sidekicker.com and https://app.sidekicker.com/account/login

Sidekicker Unique Referral Code means a unique alphanumeric code generated and provided by Sidekicker to a Sidekick to distribute to eligible individuals for the purpose of this “Refer-A-Friend” Program.

Sidekicker Written Communication means a written communication issued by Sidekicker to the Sidekicks providing information about a “Refer-A-Friend” Program to be run during a specific Promotional Period.

1. Program Overview

The Sidekicker “Refer-A-Friend” Program is offered to (i) any existing Sidekick who fulfils the eligible requirements in clause 2 and (ii) any individual person who is not an existing Sidekick and fulfils the eligible requirements in clause 3.

Both the Referrer and Referred Person must meet the conditions set out in this Program Rules (including Clauses 2, 3 and 4) before both can become eligible to receive the Referral Reward set out in Clause 4.

2. Referrer Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the “Refer-A-Friend” Program as a “Referrer”, an individual must:

  1. be at least 18 years old;

  2. be an existing Sidekick (as defined in the “Definitions” section above) at the time and during the Promotional Period; and

  3. maintain an active Sidekick account (i.e. one that has not been deactivated) on the Sidekicker Platform at the time and during the Promotional Period.

3. Referred Person Eligibility

The Referrer’s friends, family, and other person that the Referrer knows personally may be eligible to be a “Referred Person”. To be a Referred Person, the individual must:

  1. be at least 18 years old;

  2. has never been previously employed as a “Sidekick” / casual employee by Sidekicker;

  3. has not previously registered a Sidekick’s account using the Sidekicker Platform (including using another email address); and

  4. has used the Referrer’s Sidekicker Unique Referral Code to register as a new Sidekick using the Sidekicker Platform during the Promotional Period.

Each Referred Person can be “referred” only once. The Referred Person cannot use a Sidekicker Unique Referral Code (whether belongs to the same Sidekick or another Sidekick) more than once.

4. Referral Reward

(i) Conditions of Referral Reward

To be eligible to earn the Referral Reward, all of the following conditions (“Conditions for Referral Reward”) must be met by the Referrer and Referred Person (the “Referral Pairing”):

  1. The Referred Person must accept employment as a Sidekick during the Promotional Period;

  2. Subsequent to becoming a Sidekick, the Referred Person must complete the number of Completed Shifts as specified in the Sidekicker Written Communication during the Promotional Period (if applicable);

  3. The Referrer must complete the number of Completed Shifts as specified in the Sidekicker Written Communication during the Promotional Period (if applicable);

  4. Both the Referred Person and Referrer must fulfil any other conditions specified in the Sidekicker Written Communication;

  5. Both the Referred Person (subsequent to becoming a Sidekick) and Referrer must maintain an active Sidekick account at the Sidekicker Platform (i.e. one that has not been deactivated e.g. due to failure to meet the reliability criteria) during the entire Promotional Period;

  6. Both the Referred Person (subsequent to becoming a Sidekick) and Referrer must continue to have an employment contract (casual) with Sidekicker and the contract must not be terminated or expired during the entire Promotional Period; and

  7. Both the Referrer and Referred Person must not breach any of the terms and conditions of this Program Rules.

(ii) Payment of Referral Reward

The Referral Pairing who have successfully met all the Conditions for Referral Reward will receive the Referral Reward as specified in the Sidekicker Written Communication, in accordance with the payment term as specified in the Sidekicker Written Communication.

5. Sidekicker Unique Referral Code

Under the “Refer-A-Friend” Program, Sidekicker may provide its Sidekick with a Sidekicker Unique Referral Code(s) to distribute to eligible individuals during the Promotional Period, who must be friends, family or any other person that the Referrer knows personally.

The Referrer MUST NOT:

  1. publish the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code at any place which can be freely accessible by the public, whether online or otherwise;

  2. “spam” anyone with unsolicited bulk emails containing the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code;

  3. sell, trade or barter the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code; and/ or

  4. use the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code in any manner that violates the law or the rights of anyone else.

Sidekicker owns all rights in and to the Sidekicker Unique Referral Code. Sidekicker may reclaim, deactivate, invalidate or terminate a Sidekicker Unique Referral Code at any time at its sole discretion.

6. Other Terms

These other terms shall apply to your participation in the “Refer-A-Friend” Program:

  1. Sidekicker may update or amend the Program Rules at any time. Continued participation in the “Refer-A-Friend” Program after any update will mean that you have agreed to the update;

  2. Sidekicker reserves the right to change, end, or suspend, in whole or part, the “Refer-A-Friend” Program;

  3. Sidekicker may disqualify or exclude an individual from participation in this “Refer-A-Friend” Program at any time (before, during or after the Promotional Period), for any reason, including suspected fraud, abuse, breach of these Program Rules, or breach of any other agreements between the Sidekicker and you.

  4. If you breach the Program Rules, Sidekicker may suspend or terminate, in its sole discretion, your ability to participate in any similar referral program (now or in the future).
