After careful analysis and consultation with our healthcare workforce, Sidekicker is increasing workers’ pay rates by 15% to improve shift fulfilment and address staffing shortages in critical aged care. The pay rate increase will be directly passed on to workers.

All booked jobs will remain on existing rates till the rate increase takes effect on Monday 21 February 2022. Rates below exclude on-costs

Widespread infections of COVID-19 has impacted the industry, tripling demand while the Department of Health isolation and close contact guidelines has increased worker withdrawal rates by 30%. Staffing shortages further compound the situation, making it challenging for facilities and nursing agencies to fill shifts. Therefore this initiative is an effort in response to our periodic review of market conditions, where Sidekicker continues to be committed to providing our clients with quality Sidekicks.

We have tested these rates in the market and have proven the pay increase will boost shift fulfilment, reduce time to fill shifts and increase worker reliability.
