After careful analysis and consultation with hospitality and events industry professionals, Sidekicker is increasing workers’ pay rates to reflect the current market rates in the industry, improve shift fulfilment and address staffing shortages.
Effective Thursday, 17 February 2022, these new rates will be automatically reflected in the platform. All booked jobs will remain on existing rates till the rate increase takes effect.

Demand for workers increased over 200% from December 2021 to February 2022, and worker withdrawal rates have worsened due to COVID-19 infections. Further compounding recruitment challenges, workers have more job choices in today’s market conditions and are more selective on applications.
